NetSuite looking for channel partners
The announcement was made as the company celebrates winning a contract with Campus Living Villages (CLV) to deliver NetSuite OneWorld, a cloud computing solution allowing multinational and multi-subsidiary companies to manage their global business operations.

CLV manages student accommodation at university campuses and has 50,000 beds across 50 campuses in Australia, New Zealand, the UK and USA.

NetSuite OneWorld delivers subsidiary management and business consolidation capabilities to mid-market companies for accounting, enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM) and Ecommerce operations.

Despite the win, Johnny Jones VP for international sales at NetSuite said the company is continually looking to grow but was turning to its channel partners to help it expand further.

“We have come from a small company supporting about 10 users but have now grown to 20 plus. As we grow we don’t want to abandon the smaller companies. We want to use the channel to bring in business from them.”

Jones believes that with the aggressive growth targets NetSuite has for the A/NZ in 2009 the most achievable way of delivering this result is via a sound channel strategy.

“Due to the large geographic expanse of the region the most cost effective delivery of NetSuite is via channel partners. Small business comprises 98 percent of all business in Australia, the channel will be able to provide a greater reach into these markets,” said Jones.

He was also looking at OEM partners to own their own IT technology, build their codes into NetSuite then go out and sell it to their own market space. They can do this through the Suite Bundler.

Suite Bundler gives resellers the opportunity to to become an on-demand software vendor-allowing them to configure the core NetSuite application and re-sell it over and over again as the manufacturer.

“Suite Bundler enables local businesses to develop specific applications that are relevant for the local market, such as local accounting standards, financial reporting requirements etc,” said Jones.

“ This allows the NetSuite offering to become customisable to local business requirements, which in turn encourages best of breed business practises.”
