Melbourne-based Yellowfin continues to expand its global reach with the signing of two new international contracts just weeks apart.
The company's business intelligence solution has been licensed by businesses in France and Germany.
Yellowfin communications manager Lachlan James told CRN the company had been focusing on growing its share of European markets.
"Europe is a big focus for us. In the past 24 months, we've been working quite hard to expand our reseller and partner network throughout Europe."
The company has more than 100 reseller partners globally, in countries that include the US, Japan and South Africa.
James said over 70 percent of Yellowfin's revenue comes from international business.
"From financial year 2011 to 2012, we had a growth rate of around a 100 percent – fantastic growth.
"As we get bigger though, it's becoming harder to sustain," he added. The company's growth has since moderated to 50 percent.
Yellowfin reseller Delphinea Conseils recently announced it has signed a deal with Honda France. The carmaker will use Yellowfin's BI system to access sales and customer data.
Competing for tender were solutions Qlikview and Tableau, however, Honda decided to go with Yellowfin because its mobile BI solutions do not come at an additional cost.
Honda France's IT manager Regis Loumont touted the solutions' licensing pricing model and its scalability.
"I highly recommend Yellowfin to any company looking for a simple but complete BI solution at an affordable price. Yellowfin’s financial and technological scalability will allow us to easily extend the solution into other business areas in the future."
In Germany, reseller Incuda deployed Yellowfin's BI solution into e-tailer Internetstores. Incuda won the tender over business solution Cognos because of its easy rollout and its multitenancy capabilities.
Head of IT at Internetstores, Burkhard Wagner, said the company singled out Yellowfin for its ability to aggregate data.
"Yellowfin has enabled us to create a single trustworthy view of our entire ERP system. We are now able to easily track KPIs from internetstores’ 30-plus self-owned e-commerce platforms.”
Locally, Yellowfin works with 30 partners in Australia and New Zealand. Last month the BI vendor added Sydney-based channel partner SolveXia.
SolveXia, which provides web-based automation solutions, is coupling Yellowfin's BI to offer an end-to-end business solution. Managing director and CIO James Simpson said Yellowfin’s offerings were essential to “round out” the value SolveXia could deliver to its clients.
“The alliance will allow SolveXia to provide businesses with an end-to-end story for the lifecycle of information – from business process automation, information storage, to providing reporting and analytics capabilities,” said Simpson.
SolveXia joins an additional 11 ANZ partners signed by Yellowfin within the past 12 months.
Yellowfin was founded in 2004 in Melbourne and currently employs 80 staff. It has claimed that more than 1 million end users rely on its business intelligence solution around the world.
