According to Matt Fleming, senior marketing manager for LogMeIn, the company has seen significant adoption of its remote access solutions in the region, which is why it is investing in A/NZ to support existing customers and drive new adoption among consumers, SME and enterprise IT, and IT service providers.
Seth Shaw (pictured), has been appointed as general manager to lead the Sydney office as the base for sales, marketing and support.
He said A/NZ has a large percentage of small and medium sized businesses that are savvy about mobile computing and utilising new tools to support mobile workers, customers and partners.
"LogMeIn technology helps the channel provide premium technical support and training to their own customers," said Shaw.
"With LogMeIn, resellers can reduce their IT support costs but at the same time offer more efficient premium support which gives them a real competitive advantage and naturally this is especially important in the current economic climate.
"Our investment in A/NZ is about supporting our local customers, many of whom are part of the technology channel, with access to local support, the ability to purchase in Australian dollars, and additional education through webinars and other customer events," he added.
Existing customers in the region include real estate franchise Stockdale & Leggo, consumer technical support provider Gizmo and broadband VOIP provider Engin.
The LogMeIn suite of SaaS solutions includes on-demand remote access, remote control, technical support, systems administration, file-sharing, online meetings, virtual networking and data backup.
