Kyocera brings Evernote to enterprise customers

Kyocera Document Solutions has announced a new Cloud application for Evernote users, Kyocera Cloud Connect.

Kyocera Cloud Connect allows owners of Kyocera multifunctional products (MFPs) to scan and store files directly to Evernote; a note-taking and archiving application supported by Windows, Mac, Android, iOS and a host of other operating systems.

The service uses the touch screen panel of compatible Kyocera MFPs to access the user's Evernote account.

In addition to scanning and uploading documents, Kyocera Cloud Connect can also be used to print out documents directly from Evernote (a range of file formats including JPEG, PDF and TIFF are supported).

Kyocera is pitching the Cloud Connect service as a "totally robust and scalable solution" suitable for SMEs and large enterprises.

“Cloud computing and cloud storage are becoming mainstream in today’s business environment, as our customers want to store and access data from anywhere, at any time,” said the company's  product marketing manager George Kharoufeh, in a statement.

“Kyocera Cloud Connect is the solution that bridges Kyocera’s products to the cloud service applications publically available today.”

The service is available upon request from Kyocera for new and existing Kyocera customers who own a Hypas MFP.
