Remasys' Eaglei solution was in a need of a facelift for the company to position the enterprise IT monitoring system to potential new clients.
Eaglei allows customers to surface critical business information and identify issues when they occur via an application. Eaglei presents information from a fully automated 'human' perspective by providing a video explaining where and how problems occur, complemented by deep system and network analytics.
Despite the heavy focus on user experience, Eaglei's own UX was aesthetically outdated, and customers found it difficult to navigate to find in-depth information.
Remasys realised that a strong UX component was necessary to improve Eaglei, and brought in Kiandra IT to deliver the solution.
Kiandra started by identifying which customers were using Eaglei and what experience they were after. Kiandra found that Eaglei was most used in times of urgency and high stress, and that users wanted to receive an alert, open the application and investigate issues as fast as possible without distractions.
Kiandra followed a user-centred design process to surface information up front, and after five months, developed a single page application for Eaglei. The custom web application runs with a UX similar to a desktop application, with every interaction married to the users' needs at any given time. All necessary resources are dynamically loaded and added to the page as necessary in response to user input.
The new Eaglei consists of a dedicated back-end server, a series of bespoke APIs and the single page application built with Angular JS.
Remasys now has a powerful and responsive data visualisation tool to back up its enterprise IT monitoring product, better positioning the company to showcase Eaglei to potential clients and improve the overall experience for customers.
Remasys CIO Andrew Whiting said: “The Kiandra team was a great fit for our organisation. They took the time to get to know us as a business, as well as what we needed in a solution.”
“Kiandra provided the flexibility, expertise and creativity we were looking for in a provider. The user experience designed and delivered by them is one that the team at Remasys are very proud of.”
