Intuit Australia has reached 161,000 subscribers in its 2018 fiscal year as the business and financial software vendor pushes its mobile-first strategy.
The subscriber count reflects a 55 percent growth from 100,000 in its 2017 fiscal year and is consistent with the company’s global subscriber growth.
The US-headquartered vendor provides financial, accounting, and tax preparation software and related services for small businesses, accountants, and individuals.
“I am delighted to announce that we have reached 161,000 customers in Australia. This figure is testament to the commitment of our employees and of our accountant, bookkeeper and developer partners in delivering a platform that powers the prosperity of our customers,” Intuit Australia country manager Nicolette Maury said.
“Our local growth is closely aligned to our international growth drivers, specifically in relation to our brand and customer centricity, as well as our product market fit.”
The vendor said subscriber growth in markets like Australia is driven by increased penetration of total addressable market through product-market fit and customer support, while payments, payroll, time tracking and third-party apps also help improve the ecosystem experience.
Maury also cited Intuit’s efforts to meet customer demand with its recent launches of conversational chatbot QB Assistant on mobile and BAS e-lodgment.
“We have invested heavily in brand campaigns and events to reach our accountant and bookkeeping partners, ensuring they are prepared for the rise of AI and machine learning, as well as managing their firms in the era of continuous digital disruption,” Maury said.
