Internode’s Home-NakedExtreme-5 service, operates on its equipment, provides a fixed price NakedExtreme ADSL2+ service with a five-gigabyte (GB) monthly download quota.
The Internode Home-Naked-1, running off Optus Wholesale equipment, offers a similar service with a 1GB monthly data quota.
Both new services cost $49.95 a month. Internode has also introduced static IP SOHO versions of these new plans for $59.95 and $69.95, with high upload speeds via Annex M on NakedExtreme.
The ISP has also launched a range of NodePhone2 service bundles and doubled the size of its Data Blocks without increasing their price.
Jim Kellett, product manager at Internode said the new plans and service offerings were aimed at making broadband more affordable for customers.
“People are feeling the pinch with high petrol prices, rising food costs and large mortgage repayments,” he said.
“By introducing new price points for our plans and delivering more value with existing services, we are helping people to upgrade to broadband or move up from a first generation broadband service.”
According to Kellett the ISP has also undertaken major revisions to its popular NodePhone2 Voice over Broadband telephone plans, based on providing prepaid monthly bundles that deliver much more value.
“For example the new NodePhone2-Starter Plan costs $5 per month with a $10 call credit, with no limitations on the type of calls made,” he said.
“The NodePhone2-Value Plan costs $10 per month with $20 of included calls. The NodePhone2-Premium Plan costs $20 per month with $40 worth of included calls.”
The NodePhone2-Special Plan –is available only to Internode Naked ADSL2+ and NakedExtreme ADSL2+ customers – has no monthly fee, but comes with $10 of included calls, said Kellett.
