Brisbane security and data specialist Intalock is on a growth trajectory, with a new site in Sydney and a plan to nearly double turnover.
The company recently hired a new national sales manager, Tim McPherson, who had previously spent five years with data centre operator Interactive, during which time that company grew from $25 million to around $140 million.
McPherson is similarly bullish about Intalock's growth potential. He told CRN the company is targetting 90 percent growth in the 2015 financial year, off the back of some record months and blue-chip contracts with the likes of the G20.
Its Sydney presence has grown from one person to five and Intalock has now opened a new office in the CBD. "The Sydney office will overtake the Brisbane office in revenue and staff size in three years, I'd forecast," said McPherson.
Almost half of Intalock's business is in the security space and Symantec is a key vendor. In May, Intalock was named Symantec's Specialised Growth Partner of the Year. Other infosec vendors include Rapid7 and Cisco's Sourcefire.
McPherson hinted at some new vendor appointments to come. "Forty percent of our business in last financial year was in the security space and we are looking to triple that number; it is fair to say we want to bolster our security portfolio."
Intaock has also ventured into the customer event space, recently hosting a breakfast seminar on ‘The Real Cyber Threat’ featuring Ben Case from the government's Cyber Security Operations Centre, which is housed within the ASD Directorate.
