Impact Awards: Dynamics Square saved AVet Health 50 hours a month
Jitender Kumar, Dynamics Square.

Dynamics Square was named winner of the Workplace Empowerment Award at the 2025 techpartner.news Impact Awards for helping AVet Health modernise and consolidate its business operations systems.

AVet Heath is a veterinary supply company that was rapidly growing and needed to upgrade its systems and give its staff access to better productivity technology.

The company was being weighed down with operations split among several systems, with some even still run through Microsoft Excel.

AVet also had compliance requirements as a seller of pharmaceuticals, plus wanted to meet future growth needs as it expanded into a $1.3 billion industry.

The main concerns were cost-efficiency and long-term value, and so the partner needed to be able to justify investment through measurable operational savings and scalable growth.

AVet ended up tapping Dynamics Square, who worked with the company to deploy Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, a single cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform.

The companies combined finance, inventory, and production onto a single platform, which rapidly resulted in faster financial reporting, smarter procurement, and smoother compliance processes.

Bank reconciliation time dropped from three days to 30 minutes and with Microsoft’s Co-pilot implementation was able to automate financial reporting.

Overall, 50 staff hours a month were saved through the implementation through the automation of reporting and forecasting across the company.

Inventory management saw a big step up, as planning became more proactive and accurate.

This led to reduced emergency orders, fewer errors and better expiry management, resulting in a 25% reduction in inventory holding costs.

Batch and expiry tracking also improved compliance with pharmaceutical handling requirements from the Therapeutic Goods Administration and the US Federal Drug Adminstration.

Dynamics also offered customised staff training for the use of real data and personalised Copilot guides and 1:1 coaching, giving even AI-hesitant staff the confidence to interact with the systems using natural language.

The project took four months in total, following Microsoft’s Success by Design methodology, tailored to meet the specific needs of the customer, informed by the Dynamics’ experience in the healthcare sector.

The solution helped AVet Health build a more self-sufficient workforce, reduce reliance on external accountants and provide faster and more reliable service to customers.

Dynamics was backed up by distributor Crayon, who handled cloud licensing and onboarding through its portal, as well as the backend logistics to allow the partner to focus on customer delivery.
