The reseller will deliver AdWords to Australian businesses, bringing another Google offering to the local market. According to ReachLocal, AdWords is a cost effective tool for organisations looking to advertise online.

“Our direct sales force can provide Australian SMEs with a very effective way to deliver high quality, local advertising online,” said Steve Power, chief executive officer, ReachLocal Australia.

Established in 2004, sister company ReachLocal US is one of the largest search engine advertising agencies for SMBs in the United States. This agreement will assist ReachLocal Australia to do as the name suggests, extend its reach locally as well as increase its value to advertisers, working toward achieving similar status as its American counterpart.

“Google is an instrumental part of our core business and we look forward to continuing to work with them as we expand our operations,” said Power.

Julian Persaud, head of business development, Google Australia identified a growing demand for this service in Australia and is confident that the relationship will be lucrative for both parties.

“Search marketing has become a vital part of the marketing mix for Australian SMEs. Rapidly increasing numbers of these Australian businesses, from local cafes to cosmetic dentists, are using Google AdWords,” said Persaud. “We’re thrilled to be working with ReachLocal to help SMEs take advantage of this opportunity and participate in the digital economy.”

Google AdWords features advanced targeting options, customisable ads and detailed reporting to evaluate the benefits and performance of its cost-per-click advertising.
