Former Telstra cloud channel boss Mark Duckworth has joined global Microsoft 365 specialist PowerObjects to lead its emergent charge in Australia.
Duckworth, who has been appointed regional sales director, joined the company in May from Artis Group, where he was national manager for cloud productivity solutions.
Prior to that he was with Telstra, which he joined in 2009 as a senior channel specialist for its cloud solutions arm before becoming the national channel manager for that division in 2014.
Duckworth’s hiring comes amid a major international hiring spree for PowerObjects, which is bolstering out its offices in Australia, UK, Singapore, India and Canada.
The global Dynamics partner entered the Australian market in 2015 after it was acquired by international IT solutions company HCL Technologies, which has offices in offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, and Perth.
Duckworth has been tasked with ramping up the company’s operations in Australia.
“I am really excited to be part of PowerObjects’ presence in Australia, as we have such an expansive wealth of skills and experience that customers can leverage to make their businesses more productive,” Duckworth said.
“It’s exciting to talk with customers who really appreciate a Business Solutions Partner that understands what they need for their business and how Microsoft Dynamics 365 can help.”
PowerObjects associate vice president Paul Rogers welcomed Duckworth into the expanding business.
“PowerObjects is committed to our Australian initiatives as we continue to invest in the global expansion of our Microsoft solution offerings,” Rogers said.
“Duckworth brings over twelve years of Dynamics 365 experience to our sales team and provides an opportunity to foster new and current relationships in our Asia Pacific market.”
