The outage scored its own Reddit thread, where one participant shared the screenshot below – depicting ConnectWise’s support chat service during the incident – to show the volume of grumpy customers seeking assistance from the company.
The incident was brief: ConnectWise managed to get itself working again in about four hours.
But some customers have complained that the incident saw some activity lost – it looks like ConnectWise’s backups didn’t cover some time before the outage.
Wondering when @ConnectWise are going to bother telling their customers what caused Friday's outage? Just found out work done early on Friday morning has been lost - I guess due to a restore from backups. Piss poor communication.

The Reddit thread contains similar sentiments - users are upset about the outage, with a few wondering if in any way reflects a new normal after ConnectWise's acquisition by private equity firm Thoma Bravo.
