It means Astaro will provide additional deployment options to save money for customers and partners who service the SMB marketplace.
Membership in the Intel ESAA program gives resellers the ability to achieve Astaro certification and deliver the Astaro Security Gateway software appliance on the Intel Modular Server platform.
“We are excited to work with Intel to provide additional Astaro Security Gateway deployment options to customers as well as partners that service the SMB marketplace,” said Bryan Stibbard, VP sales APAC and Japan at Astaro.
“This certification provides additional flexibility for customers who need the advanced capabilities of the Intel Modular Server Platform combined with award winning Network Security, such as the Astaro Security Gateway—it is a great combination, and we are looking forward to expanding our relationship with Intel.”
The Intel Modular Server platform has support for up to six Intel Xeon processor-based compute modules and features integrated storage and networking.
“Membership in the Intel ESAA program gives resellers the ability to achieve Astaro certification and deliver the Astaro Security Gateway software appliance on the Intel Modular Server platform,” added Stibbard.
“This provides a powerful value-added proposition to small and medium sized businesses.”
The software appliance includes a range of capabilities, including firewall protection, SSL VPN, intrusion prevention, content (URL) filtering, email filtering, and IM/P2P traffic management.
