ACCC on the hunt for an MSP

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has put a tender out to market to engage a service provider (MSP) for the provision of ongoing IT managed services.

Services are currently being provided by an incumbent MSP, with the current contract set to expire on 1 April 2026; this service provider is eligible to submit a response to the RFT.

The ACCC is looking for an MSP to handle End User Support, End User Computing, Midrange Services and Network Services.

The ACCC will retain primary responsibility for Cloud Services, Security Services and Service Management, but the MSP may have some responsibility to deliver services under these categories.

The MSP will also have the capacity and capability to undertake transformation projects either on behalf of or in conjunction with the ACCC or other providers.

The ACCC retains responsibility for ICT direction and strategy as well as ICT governance, including setting ICT policies and frameworks. The ACCC’s ICT strategy is refreshed every three years and reviewed annually.

The ACCC also retains responsibility for Program Management and Program Delivery.

Applications development and support is delivered in-house. The ACCC has progressively moved to either Software as a Service (SaaS) applications, which are managed and hosted externally by the SaaS provider, or business applications that are developed and managed in ACCC’s Microsoft Dynamics365/Power Platform or within its Azure cloud.

The MSP will need to transition in prior to 31 March 2026.

The tender closes on 19 June 2025.
