We speak with Angela Maniscalco, head of strategic vendors and marketing Asia-Pacific, Insight Enterprises.
What public cloud brands and attached services do you specialise in?
Insight is heavily focused on the Microsoft cloud. Microsoft’s breadth of capability enables us to provide a platform that can power our clients’ transformation journey from infrastructure through to customer experience. Oracle and VMware are also strategic partners. Our promise is to deliver what aligns to the client’s objectives.
When did your company first get involved in this area?
Insight has been a Microsoft partner for public cloud services since the first BPOS service. Our investments have been aligned to accelerate our cloud consulting practice. This ensures we give clients solutions that leverage existing investments and drive business outcomes.
What are your credentials in this area?
Insight has significant investments in industry certification and practical business experience. We are certified in many competencies, with cloud platform and productivity the launching pad for our cloud practice GTM, alongside our alignment to the Microsoft P-Seller initiative.
Have you heard about any cool developments recently?
Our team is excited about Microsoft Flow, a service that allows end users to automate repetitive tasks across Office 365 and third-party cloud solutions. Great for non-technical users, who can now easily create workflows and automate actions.
Can you tell us about a recent deployment you have done?
Insight’s cloud services help clients across multiple verticals and segments. In the retail sector we recently migrated an organisation with 4,000 staff and 1,200 stores across eight fashion brands. The project migrated collaboration services to the public cloud with a new solution involving components of Azure and Office 365.
What is driving customers’ public cloud projects?
Economies of scale and agility of service.
Public cloud is…?
Our new normal.
