Nimbus extends workforce management contract for Serco

Serco Group has awarded Melbourne workforce management software provider nimbus an additional three year contract extension, bringing their total partnership to nine years.

The deal aims to maintain and improve workforce conditions and productivity for Serco's global staff.

The extension will see nimbus' software platform continue to support over 24,000 Serco employees across diverse sectors, including non-clinical medical staff in remote Australian military facilities, along with National Health Service workers in British hospitals, and personnel at UK and US military establishments and Middle East airports.

"We have been collaborating with Serco for several years to help them continuously deliver the best service to their customers through the support of our nimbus technology," the chief executive of Nimbus, Grant Custance, said.

"Serco has one of the most complex and challenging working environments in the world, due its highly diverse markets and skillsets which its staff are required to maintain", Custance added.

The Australian-developed software provides Serco with tools to optimise workforce management, including artificial intelligence-driven scheduling, real-time staffing snapshots, and centralised skills tracking.

Such features are crucial for meeting the strict requirements of many government contracts.

Serco staff will continue to benefit from nimbus' mobile application, allowing them to interact with the system on Apple iOS and Google Android devices.

This enables employees to manage their availability, view upcoming training, and submit leave applications remotely.

The nimbus solution is already in use across various Serco operations, including the US Space Force Surveillance System, air traffic control towers in the US and Mexico, airport services in the Middle East, NHS hospitals in Central London, and the Fiona Stanley Hospital in Perth, Australia.
