Australia’s largest IT services provider has just become a little bigger after completing its second acquisition in a month.
CSC today announced that it had acquired the Dalmatian Group, a Canberra-based information and cybersecurity consultancy. The deal comes after last month’s completion of CSC's acquisition of UXC, which CSC claims to have resulted in the largest IT services provider in the country,
Dalmatian has been a partner of UXC Saltbush for more than five years, according to CSC. The Dalmatian team will join CSC’s consulting group based in Canberra.
CSC, a Fortune 500 solutions provider headquartered in the US, said the acquisition would strengthen its leadership in the cybersecurity market for the Australian federal government.
The value of the buyout was not disclosed.
CSC Australia & New Zealand managing director Seelan Nayagam said the addition of Dalmatian's capabilities and staff would complement CSC’s existing cybersecurity services.
“The demand for cybersecurity services is growing across our enterprise accounts, and our acquisition of the Dalmatian Group will substantially expand our presence in this sector across Australia and New Zealand,” he said.
CSC is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and has 56,000 staff in more than 60 countries.
