Avnet's new toolset helps resellers manage multiple clouds

Distributor Avnet has launched its Cloud Toolset, a solution aimed at managing cloud accounts across multiple providers.

Avnet Cloud Toolset is available to Avnet’s managed service provider and reseller partners to track cloud usage and charges, generate bills and invoices and package subscription-based services. The distie's cloud business manager, Chris Farrow, confirmed it would be available for AWS and IBM’s SoftLayer.

“The Avnet Cloud Toolset is set to revolutionise the way partners can participate in the burgeoning market for cloud resources,” said Farrow. “It takes billing to an entirely new level, providing enterprise-level reporting of cloud resource consumption across multiple providers, including SoftLayer and AWS.”

The toolset provides an aggregated view for partners to track cloud service usage through a dashboard, providing partners with an interface to support customers.

Avnet Cloud Toolset was launched in North America in November 2014 and has already been adopted by 15 of Avnet’s Australian partners.
