Datacom signs co-location deal with Intervolve

Datacom has signed a co-location agreement with Intervolve to implement its cloud services node in its South Australian data centre.

Under the agreement, Intervolve will support dedicated private infrastructure and the standalone environments essential to enterprise level data governance.

The data centre has an expansion-ready, 300-rack capacity. Intervolve said it is located beyond Adelaide's 100-year flood plain and that it can enable data recovery features if required.

Technology giants such as Trend Micro, SAP and QlikTech already support the delivery of Datacom cloud services.

Intervolve was established in 1998 and has data centres around Australia in Adelaide, Brisbane, Port Melbourne and Sydney.

Datacom employs 3,600 staff across Australia and New Zealand. The company was founded in 1965 and generated revenues of $715 million for the last financial year.
