Liquidators appointed to Touchbase Australia

Touchbase Australia has passed a special resolution to voluntarily wind up the company, documents lodged with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission have revealed.

Riad Tayeh, from chartered accountants deVriedTayeh, has been appointed liquidator after previously being appointed administrator on August 11, 2010. At the time, the administrators told CRN they planned to keep the company trading "for the time being".

Touchbase and its administrators did not return CRN's calls for comment.

The voice and data integrator was trading as Emodite Pty Ltd.

Touchbase managing director Magnus Maynard registered Touchbase Asia Pacific on 12 July, 2010.

A statement of claim lodged by administrators on August 20, 2010 found that Touchbase owed Westcon Group nearly $870,000.
