Tech Data Australia has announced it is “almost ready to launch” a "Cloud Practice Builder" for local partners, and then to extend it with interactive modules that help partners develop cloud specialisations across AWS and Azure.
The distie bills the program as helping partners to “enter new markets through individual guidance in business planning, marketing, and sales development and enablement.” A three-step program helps channel players improve their cloud skills, thanks to an assessment followed guidance and then enablement that helps partners to develop vendor-specific competencies.
The program has run in the USA since October 2018. Tech Data Australia is currently testing it for local deployment and in the near future will add new interactive solutions-focused paths and vendor-specific enablement programs announced last week.
The solution-focused paths guide cover core cloud, cloud data protection or modern workplace, and steer partners towards Tech Data’s pre-architected, click-to-run solutions.
The vendor-specific paths offer guidance to develop a cloud practices, from launching a cloud service provider (CSP) practice to advancing their practices with Azure or Microsoft Modern Workplace.
The paths see partners work with a dedicated program manager who guides them customers through a series of “sprints” each quarter. During each sprint, partners “learn how to deploy and manage the Azure platform. Each sprint has a specific milestone that the reseller must attain, and each sprint is time-defined to ensure that partners remain on pace with the accelerated schedule,” the distie explained in a press release.
“Our partners are looking for new ways to expand their businesses and take advantage of high-growth opportunities, as evidenced by the 900-plus customers who have participated in digital cloud practice builder since its launch in October [2018],” said Sergio Farache, senior vice president for global cloud solutions at Tech Data. “Our latest additions to the program enhance our customers’ ability to build and diversify their cloud practices.”
