SAP Australia wins $52 million NSW govt cloud migration deal

Enterprise software giant SAP Australia has been engaged by the New South Wales government's Department of Customer Service (DCS) to move a range of platforms from on-premises to the cloud.

A $51.8 million contract was awarded earlier in January, and covers SAP's enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, the RISE finance platform, and human resources and payroll functionality, and more.

The contract duration is from March 31 this year, going to May 30 in 2030.

It follows the NSW government had transitioned 60,000 users in large-scale SAP ERP consolidation program, as of December last year.

The MyWorkZone ERP platform was implemented across 75 government agencies, through a shared services model, and part of the Process and Technology Harmonisation (PaTH) program.

Accenture is carrying out the work under a seven-year contract that has now reached almost $200 million.
