Matthew Johnston, product director APJ, Quest Software, said the new products will enable system administrators greater insight into how unified communications are integrating into their organisation.
“Quest is committed to providing innovative products that help customers get more value from their existing Microsoft unified communications investments. These new additions are no exception. Both enhance the administration and management experience and give people a deeper view into their unified communications solutions,” he said.
New functionality introduced into Quest's MessageStats reporting software provides detailed information about instant messaging, web conferencing and voice call activities per department. In addition to conducting charge backs for voice calls and reporting on the top calls made by each user, MessageStats can also generate reports demonstrating how Server 2007 is contributing to organisational objectives.
Quest has also updated its Active Roles Server software to include workflow controls and rules that monitor changes to personal information in Active Directory. These control updates ensure the correct operation of unified communications applications, which rely on Active Directory.
