Perth reseller CRM Online replaces property developer JWH Group's legacy systems with Dell Boomi

Perth-based CRM Online has landed a deal to deploy the Dell Boomi platform for residential property builder JWH Group.

The property developer agreed to a five-year IT overhaul program to “rip and replace” its business-critical administration, construction, and estimating and scheduling systems with Dell Boomi’s Integration platform as a service (iPaaS).

Through the platform, JWH is aiming to overcome the current property market downturn in Western Australia with improved client insights.

“JWH Group required a platform that was able to provide a simple point to point integration solution but was also flexible enough to support integration requirements that differ between the JWH companies,” CRM Online chief executive Glenn Richmond said.

“We positioned Boomi as it provided a solution that was simple to deploy, provided strong flexibility and also provided a platform that is able to support future integration requirements for both cloud and on-premise as JWH continues to modernise its IT infrastructure.”

JWH Group has four major brands in its residential business, which are all competing with one another. The brands are Plunkett Homes, WA Country Builders, Residential Building WA and Oswald Homes.

The group also has four other companies in its other property development businesses.

“We have quite a unique operation in that the four main building companies within JWH compete with one another – this means we need to serve the best interests of every business while preserving the operational boundaries between them,” JWH Group IT manager Pep Oliveri said.

“Once we decided to refresh our software environment, we needed an integration tool to make our new cloud-based apps – namely SugarCRM and Marketo – talk to one another.”

Oliveri added that the solution would need to allow duplicates of data at the group level, while restricting it to single instances at the company level. At the same time, the platform will also prevent client information from one of our competing brands being accessed by another.

“Having reviewed several options, we found Boomi was the only solution that could tick all these boxes,” Oliveri said.

Dell Boomi APJ managing director Michael Evans said the platform has helped save time and resources for JWH’s IT department, which no longer needed to manually code and manage connectors between its applications.

“Managing a large organisation while sustaining the operational integrity of multiple companies is challenging, and even more so within a turbulent climate such as the Western Australian property market,” he said.

“By integrating its core customer applications using Boomi, JWH has both improved the efficiency and productivity of its IT team, while providing real time information and better insights to its customer facing staff.”
