NSW Government to refresh whole-of-government IT hardware panel

The New South Wales government has announced an RFP process to refresh its whole-of-government ICT hardware panel for vendors and services suppliers.

There is no limit to the number of suppliers that can be appointed to the panel, with each applicant to undergo an evaluation process to determine eligibility. The panel will provide a contact point of hardware supply for government agencies across the sector, which will use this contract for their individual hardware refreshes when required.

The incumbent panel consists of HP, Dell, Lenovo, Acer, Pioneer and Samsung.

The contract is expected to last for a period of five years, beginning 1 May 2017, and is open as a public advertisement with no restriction placed on who may tender.

Tenderers are asked to demonstrate that they have the ability, accreditations, resources and financial capacity to fulfill the tender requirements.

The panel will be provided in two lots, the first seeking hardware vendors producing PCs, desktop computers, laptops, notebooks, rugged notebooks, zero clients, tablets, rugged tablets, and hybrid computers as well as docking stations for PCs, monitors, accessories and software.

The second lot calls for providers of services including asset tagging, pre-delivery configuration, pre-delivery imaging, basic and extended installation, sanitisation, decommissioning and disposal.
