A series of acquisitions over several years has seen the company’s suite of security applications expand to feature a multitude of disparate product names. In order to alleviate confusion and introduce brand homogeneity, Secure Computing will simultaneously rename its security solution set and unveil a new corporate logo and website.
Secure Computing’s security solutions are designed to help organisations guard against threats such as spyware, phishing, malware and data leakage. The decision to rebrand is designed to project a uniform “Secure” message to customers and partners.
The labelling move will mean that Webwasher will now be known as "Secure Web", IronMail will become "Secure Mail", Sidewinder will be renamed "Secure Firewall" and SafeWord will now be referred to as "Secure SafeWord".
Atri Chatterjee, senior vice president of Marketing, Secure Computing, said that companies face significant risks without security mechanisms in place.
“To proactively and effectively protect against today’s rapidly evolving threat environment, organisations require proactive protection from new and unknown threats,” he said.
“Customer demand for greater Internet protection in a Web 2.0 world is increasing, and traditional security technologies are no longer sufficient.”
