Database technology provider MongoDB has expanded its Australian operations with a new office in Sydney to support growth across its engineering, support and go-to-market functions.
The new offices, located at 201 Elizabeth Street, feature flexible working spaces designed to support MongoDB's hybrid work model.
It includes a mix of fixed and flexible desks, along with multi-use spaces for events.
The company said it has grown its Australian and New Zealand workforce to 220 employees, with more than 160 in technical roles working on cutting-edge projects including AI-enabled tools and services.

"The outstanding technical talent we've been able to find and develop in Australia has been absolutely crucial to the company's success and continued growth," Mick Graham, vice president of engineering at MongoDB, said.
MongoDB's Asia Pacific business has reached more than US$220 million in annual revenue, with Australian clients including Canva, Macquarie Bank, Woolworths, and Bendigo and Adelaide Bank.
"Legacy technology is holding back global innovation, which is why we are on a mission to eliminate roadblocks to groundbreaking technology like AI by bringing simplicity, speed and ease to the modernisation process for Australia's leading companies," Simon Eid, senior vice president APAC at MongoDB, said.
Tools developed by MongoDB's Sydney team have already shown impact, the company said.
Its Relational Migrator helped Bendigo and Adelaide Bank modernise a core banking application with 90 per cent less development time and one-tenth the cost of traditional legacy migration.
According to analysts IDC, the Australian and New Zealand database management systems market is projected to reach US$1.9 billion, through 17.3 per cent growth in 2025.
The region has also cultivated a substantial developer community, with more than 70,000 professionals in Australia and New Zealand listing MongoDB as a skill on LinkedIn.
