Communications vendor IProvide has claimed its training centric approach ensures its resellers are prepared to succeed in the burgeoning SME space.
IProvide runs its own Academy which is designed to take new or existing partners through various training steps. Resellers can then become an accredited IProvide Partner which the firm claimed provides recognition in the voice, data and IP fields.
Gary McLaren, director of marketing and products at IProvide, told CRN the firm has built a new channel model with 120 to 130 partners in Australia, mainly on the East coast with some presence in Perth.
“The majority of our partners are out solving problems for the SME and have seen the growth of VoIP. We can provide the business grade offering for SMEs,” he said. “We also provide an all-in-one bundle package which is an end-to-end solution. Resellers can become a one-stop shop.”
McLaren said IProvide runs a series of courses on a monthly basis through the IProvide Academy.
“We go through products, sales, technology, and this training is moving to an online environment. We know this is a new business for resellers, so we are building their skills and confidence.”
McLaren said IProvide’s hunt for new resellers has not subsided as it moves towards an initial recruitment target of 200 partners.
“We are now kicking off doing some of our own advertising, direct marketing and telemarketing, to generate leads for the channel. We will then fit the customer with the right partner,” added McLaren.
