Citrix Access Essentials is Citrix's Web-based application delivery solution that allows small to medium businesses (SMB) to remotely and securely access their Windows-based applications.
It enables SMB organisations to securely access order processing, sales force automation, inventory systems, accounting and other Windows-based business applications through remote Internet access with just a Web browser.
The application also automates wizard-driven installation and configuration simplifies the set-up process with little effort or training needed.
Dean Vaughan, manager channel development team, Citrix Systems Australia said access essentials includes Windows Terminal Services out of the box and its integration with Windows Essential Business Server enables administrators to manage key components from one central location.
"Ingram Micro is well placed to reach SMB resellers and the Microsoft partner community, enabling them to offer technology to the growing SMB market in Australia," he said.
"Our collaboration with Microsoft ensures that our solution is integrated making it easily deployed and managed."
The need for remote access, particularly within the SMB segment, is on the rise as the business atmosphere continues to become more mobile.
According to Vaughan, the Citrix Access Essentials solution helps improve employee job satisfaction and work-life balance by offering flexible work environments.
"Sale of Citrix Access Essentials doesn't require certification," he said.
Ingram Micro and Citrix are planning to conduct training events later this year to enable the resellers/Windows partner community to gain a strong understanding of Citrix Access Essentials and help them market the solution.
