Ingram Micro and Brightpoint have picked up the distribution of O2’s latest PDA/mobile phone, aptly named ‘Stealth’.

The O2 Xda Stealth combines PDA functionality in the form of a mobile phone. The Stealth runs Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0.

End-users can also choose how they navigate the phone, with either the 2.4 inch QVGA TFT-LCD touch screen or the numeric keypad.

The phone also features built-in wireless LAN and includes Internet access. The phone also features 192MB of built-in memory.

Ingram and Brightpoint will distribute the phone to mass merchant retailers like Harvey Norman, Harris Technology and Dick Smith Electronics.

O2 Asia Pacific is a member of the O2 group, a provider of mobile communications services in Europe.

Its parent company, formerly O2 plc, was formed in November 2001 following a demerger from British Telecommunications. It comprises of mobile network operators in the UK and Ireland, along with fixed/mobile businesses in Germany, the Czech Republic (Cesky Telecom) and the Isle of Man (Manx Telecom).

It also owns 50 percent of the Tesco Mobile and Tchibo Mobilfunk joint venture businesses in the UK and Germany respectively. In addition, the O2 group includes O2 Airwave, a digital communications service.
