Fujifilm has developed a cloud-based digital signage solution for Vodafone, which is now being rolled out across the country.
The photographic and imaging giant, in conjunction with commercial fitout company Yarra Valley Commercial, has so far installed more than 900 displays throughout Australia, with “many more” to come.
The digital signage solution integrates Samsung commercial large-format display (LFD) panels with built-in wi-fi.

It has been implemented to reduce Vodafone’s dependency on promotional activities and the associated cost of printed point-of-sale material, according to Fujifilm.
The solution was also designed to allow Vodafone to deliver digital content in store.
Stores don’t need an external media player to display the content, which is played through the Samsung LFD panels.
The panels automatically check for new playlists, and different playlists can be scheduled to run at any time.
Fujifilm said one of the main reasons it was awarded the contract was its experience in retail digital networks and its ability to demonstrate full and ongoing support.
Technology manager Craig Rumsey said Fujifilm supports Vodafone’s digital signage networks as a complete end-to-end solution.
“This digital signage solution truly encapsulates Fujifilm Australia’s core competencies of providing a full cloud-based service with comprehensive support,” he said.
“We identified a market requirement, found a signage solution, developed it and implemented it. Now with this proven system in place and expanding rapidly across Australia, many other similar Fujifilm digital signage solutions are in the pipeline.”
