Fuji Xerox hires two new Aussie printer execs
Andrew Whiting, Fuji Xerox Printers' new distribution manager for Australia.

Fuji Xerox has appointed two new executives to its Australian printers operation, recruiting distribution and sales managers from Optus and Officeworks.

Former Optus SMB channel boss for NSW Greg Heard has joined as national sales manager, while former Officeworks printers, scanners and shredders buyer Andrew Whiting has taken over as national distribution manager.

Heard’s role was newly created. His responsibilities were previously under the remit of general manager for A/NZ, David Borg.

Fuji Xerox said the creation of the national sales manager role was necessary to provide greater support and growth opportunities for channel partners on a day to day basis.

Whiting replaces departed distribution manager Adnan Anakli. Fuji Xerox declined to comment on Anakli's movements and he could not be reached for comment.

Whiting has more than 15 years' experience in printing industry, including stints across Harris Technology and City Software.

Borg said the appointments represented a commitment to the channel.

“While we recognise the past twelve months have been tough, our key focus for the year ahead is on helping our partners grow,” he said in a statement.

“Managed print services, solid ink and mid-range value products all represent significant growth opportunities. These two new senior appointments will be instrumental in enabling our partners to capitalise on these market areas.”
