Cybersecurity vendor BeyondTrust has announced that four of its solutions have completed an Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) assessment at the PROTECTED classification level, performed by CyberCX.

The IRAP assessment followed the process outlined in Phase 1A of Australian Cyber Security Centre’s (ACSC) Cloud Assessment and Authorisation Framework and demonstrated how BeyondTrust maps to the Cloud controls matrix within the Australian Information Security Manual (ISM).

The matrix enables government agencies to make risk-informed decisions about using cloud computing and Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings.

Such an assessment is required before departments can adopt any security platforms and tools external vendors provide. The program ensures that all data processed and collected within BeyondTrust was assessed at the Protected level against the applicable requirements stipulated in the March 2025 version of the ISM, including its operational effectiveness.

During the assessment period, which began in March 2025 and was completed last month, the process included documentation review and technical configuration reviews for endpoint privilege management, password safe, privileged remote access and remote support

“We are delighted to have successfully completed the IRAP assessment, which now allows BeyondTrust to expand our ability to work with both public sector organisations and commercial businesses that require information to be stored, processed, and communicated at the ‘Protected’ classification level,” said Roshi Balendran, regional sales director at BeyondTrust.

“In addition, our Australian channel partners also now have more market opportunities to strengthen the cyber defences of Australian government agencies with a suite of BeyondTrust identity security solutions, which facilitate faster and more informed decision-making processes."
