Epicor gets tick from Medicare
Under the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI), which is part of a new $1.6 billion Federal Government initiative Securing the future of Aged Care for Australians, providers will now be able to electronically submit care assessments to Medicare. Epicor is the first software company to receive Medicare’s approval to facilitate the online claiming process for aged care providers.

Epicor's partners will now be able to offer care providers Epicor’s updated Senior Living Solution, an automated reporting solution for electronically lodging claims. The software will incorporate ACFI into funding calculations, reconciliation and updating the general ledger for financial reporting in order to reduce document preparation time and simplify the aged care payment process.

Craig Charlton, vice president Australasian Operations, Epicor Software, said its updated Senior Living Solution software will help care providers fulfil the requirements of the new instrument.

“Epicor has drawn on its global resources to ensure all of its customers in the aged care sector are ready for, and compliant with the new legislations outlined in the government’s Securing the Future of Aged Care initiative,” he said.

“Without having a reliable and world recognised software vendor such as Epicor, and taking the necessary steps to be prepared for the changes outlined under ACFI, aged care providers run the risk of incurring significant potential overheads.”
