Dicker Data has expanded its telco business unit and Unified Communications (UC) capability.
For partners working closely with Microsoft, the expanded capabilities intend to make it simpler to upgrade Microsoft Teams from a collaboration platform into a complete, business-grade calling solution.
Dicker Data supports partners in attaching PSTN connectivity and calling services to Teams projects, offering guidance on solution design, commercial models, and implementation.
This intend partners to be able to elevate Teams deployments into high-value communications projects; deliver Teams Calling consistently across a range of customer types; generate recurring revenue by bundling voice services with managed support; and streamline quoting, provisioning, and ongoing customer support.
“Partners are increasingly expected to own more of the communications conversation and by expanding our UC capability within the Telco Business Unit, we are making it easier for partners to attach UC and customer engagement outcomes to the services they already deliver, with vendor choice and channel-friendly execution," said Dicker Data executive director and CEO Vlad Mitnovetski,
The expansion also brings additional UC and voice capability through Switch Connect, Symbio, GoTo and IPscape, as well as new capability in end-user training through InTele for both telephony and Microsoft solutions including 365 and Copilot.
For telco‑led partners, Dicker Data’s broader voice suite offers multiple UC and contact centre vendors available through one distributor, intending to allow partners to build repeatable solutions for SMB, mid-market, and enterprise customers, align voice offerings with connectivity and other telco services already in portfolio and simplify the process of comparing vendors and packaging solutions
Jason Hall, GM of Dicker Data’s telco and services business unit, said the update is about making it easier for partners to execute.
“We’ve spent time building real capability across telco and UC. Formalising the UC practice and widening the vendor options means partners get more flexibility, backed by stronger pre-sales and enablement to help them deliver the right outcome for each customer," he said.
As part of the expansion, Dicker Data will provide partners with UC practice specialists for solution scoping and vendor selection; partner enablement pathways, including sales and technical training; implementation support models aligned to partner delivery preferences (partner-led, vendor-assisted, or hybrid); and an expanded roadmap aligned to Dicker Data’s broader telco business unit strategy.
The expanded UC capability is available immediately to eligible Dicker Data partners. Partners can engage the telco business unit to register opportunities, access enablement resources and receive support with vendor selection and solution design.
The telco division was introduced in June of last year, launching with business-grade data services from Vocus, before adding a partnership with Optus a month later.
