Security vendor Check Point has promoted Craig McGregor to the channel sales director for Australia role.
McGregor replaces Nigel Gutschlag (pictured), who is retiring after 12 years with the company.
At his new post, McGregor will be responsible for leading the Australian channel sales team and working with partners to increase their revenue.
McGregor joined Check Point in 2015 as national channel sales manager. Prior to that, he was national partner manager of Symantec for three years, responsible for managing two of its largest partners in Australia and New Zealand.
He has also worked at Oracle as senior services account manager, Sun Microsystems as a systems integrator and ISV manager, Microsoft as OEM manager and Adobe as a channel sales manager.
Check Point regional managing director David De Laine said McGregor's skills and experience were highly prized in supporting resellers.
“At the same time, his knowledge and understanding of how to propel channel enablement for leading technology vendors will be highly advantageous in enabling our channel to deliver on purpose built security defence technology that helps to differentiate and add significant value to our customers, while simultaneously maintains partner profitability and rewarding performance,” said De Laine.
