Security vendor Trend Micro has announced that it will waive fees associated with Worry-Free Remote Manager (WFRM) – a secure, hosted console that enables partners to centrally manage multiple customers from a single location.
“Trend Micro has shown that they are one of the few vendors that truly understand the small-to-medium-business reseller market space. Where others run promotional campaigns and ‘shopping voucher’ incentives, Trend Micro is creating the ultimate loyalty system by providing WFRM free to its resellers,” said Gary Hall, founder, Hall Computer Services.
According to Trend Micro, partners will be able to access WFRM to increase their services business while lowering the costs associated with them. They can also view their overall security status and centrally resolve issues for their Worry-Free customers.
Launched in 2007, Worry-Free Remote Manager was developed with the needs of the SMB community in mind; in particular partners running managed service operations who were focused on recurring service revenue. Trend Micro research revealed that 86 percent of WFRM registered partners reported offering managed services to their customers.
“Trend Micro is committed to helping our channel partners increase their service profitability. We are offering Worry-Free Remote Manager at no cost because we understand the current market and want to maximise the success of our partners,” said Dal Gemmell, marketing manager, Trend Micro global small business solutions. “Worry-Free Remote Manager is of critical strategic importance and we will continue to develop and innovate it based on active dialogue with our partners.”
