Transvault heads down under with Insentra partnership

UK-based Transvault Software (TVS) has announced a partnership with Australian services provider, Insentra, as it enters the local market.

Insentra will work with TVS to deliver services to assist archive solution providers with data migrations.

Sara J Appleyard, marketing manager for Transvault told CRN that Australia is a very "logical expansion of our marketplace; there is a clear demand for a compliant well-managed migrations service.

"Until now there hasn't been a combination of the market conditions and technology available to justify building up a migrations service offering, but now such a service is available."

Appleyard said the strength of the Australian economy has resulted in mergers and acquisition activities that drive system migrations.

"Also in the last six months, major new releases of archiving products - particularly from Symantec and EMC - have been creating the need for change as organisations seek improvements to their environment in order to improve their competitiveness".

"The option to work with the team at Insentra couldn't be passed up because of their deep understanding of the leading email archiving solutions from Autonomy Zantaz, Symantec, EMC and others," she said.

Andrew Clare, business development manager for EMEA and Asia Pacific at TVS said, archive migrations are a "specialist area".
