TeleChoice targets 200 stores
TeleChoice has unveiled ambitious plans to have 200 stores across Australia within the next two years supplying its range of Optus and Virgin products.

“We have 122 franchise stores and 16 of our own stores,” Ehab Abdou, founder and chief executive officer of TeleChoice told CRN. “We measure our success by how many franchises we sell. Over the next two years we are enhancing our model to attract more franchisees.”

Abdou said Optus has been successful in the consumer market and has put its vision towards the business market.

“We have three divisions: the call centre which maintains our database; we have our distribution channel; and we have our corporate channel,” added Abdou.

Paul Reeves, director of TeleChoice, said: “We are the largest independent channel to market for Optus and we have set a target of getting 200 stores in the next two years.

“Optus is aggressively looking into broadband and moving on with some all-in-one products. It is interesting times as Optus attempts to take that stranglehold away from Telstra,” added Reeves. “Over the next 12 to 24 months we will be achieving some real milestones. The challenge for us and our channel is to embrace the new technology, understand the technical side, and then deliver it to clients in simple English.”
