Tandberg has appointed Dimension Data Learning Solutions (DDLS) as its first Authorised Training Partner in Australia.
The partnership will see DDLS provide training and a certification program to end-users and resellers of Tandberg's telepresence and video products.
DDLS will initially offer three courses: Tandberg Certified Associate v3.1; Tandberg Certified Expert v4.1; and Tandberg Certified TMS Specialist.
Courses vary in price, and will cover topics such as deployment of Tandberg technology, process management and service provision.
According to Tandberg's APAC channel director Adam Britten, the partnership is in line with the company's strategy of supporting its channel with certification and education programs.
Prior to Tandberg's appointment of DDLS, all its training programs were delivered by internal staff.
"It limited our scale," Britten told CRN. "The partnership frees up some staff and allows us to have closer relationships with our partners."
DDLS and Tandberg will share revenue from the training courses but Britten said that Tandberg is focussed on market education and not a revenue stream.
It chose to deal with DDLS because of its experience and national reach and has no immediate plans to expand its Authorised Training Partner program, he said.
"We have no immediate plans," he told CRN. "But we're always looking at the market and we're not saying no."
DDLS general manager David Gage said the partnership would strengthen its position as a training provider in the unified communications space.
"Video Conferencing is a high growth area with Corporate and government customers attracted by the significant cost and environmental benefits as well as a fantastic user experience," he told CRN.
