Toshiba has tapped Synnex Australia to distribute the PC hardware vendor’s internal hard drive products and after-sales services across Australia and New Zealand.
Synnex will be the authorised dealer for the full range of internal Toshiba hard drive products, which includes providing new offerings for system builders and the surveillance and network-attached storage markets, a Synnex spokesperson said.
Toshiba’s storage product marketing group director Takayoshi Tokushima said: “It is critical to build our channel with distributors we can trust as we are always looking at ways to better serve and bring the products and services to the market for better support.
“We are pleased to have Synnex Australia as our channel collaboration partner to serve the Australian and New Zealand market. It is critical to build our channel with distributors we can trust as we are always looking at ways to better serve and bring the products and services to the market for better support.”
The distribution agreement will support the rollout of a new range of internal hard drive products developed by Toshiba, with different models being designed for specific use in desktops, laptops, performance operations, network-attached storage, surveillance, video streaming and enterprise applications.
Toshiba first tapped Synnex to take its full consumer devices range to the channel back in 2012.
The distributor recently unveiled its new managed service financing package, that aims to help smaller resellers bundle hardware, software licensing, cloud and professional services onto a single bill.
Synnex Managed Services Finance went live in June off the back of a partnership between the distributor and vendor equipment finance provider SE Rentals.
Resellers can apply for finance for deals from $1000 and upward, which Synnex claimed was the lowest in the market and would make it easier for SMB resellers to diversify into managed services.
