Retail Directions managing director, Andrew Gorecki said KOOKAÏ has deployed Retail Directions’ two flagship products, the Retail Management System for head office and warehouse management, and Store Management System.
“Both systems have been fully implemented throughout the retailer and are currently being used by around 400 retail staff,” he said.
According to Gorecki, prior to signing with Retail Directions, the retailer was using a small scale, all-purpose POS technology and head office management system that was not specific to the retail industry.
KOOKAÏ managing director, Rob Cromb, said the business had outgrown its previous IT system.
“We needed a retail management system that would grow with the KOOKAÏ brand and support us in all areas of the business across our Australian and New Zealand operations,” he said.
Cromb said the retailer has opened four new boutiques this year, with another boutique to open in Newmarket, Auckland, New Zealand in November.
KOOKAÏ is also looking at further expansion opportunities in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. It was this continuing expansion that prompted the need to replace the existing IT software system.
“We were looking for an IT solution that offered seamless back of house technology and a POS system that is intuitive, user friendly and requires minimum staff training,” claimed Cromb.
