Printfleet targets the Asia Pacific printer market
The first one is as the well-known general manager of printer vendor, Oki, the other as the chief executive officer of PrintFleet.

PrintFleet is an independent software company focused on what is an upcoming watershed in the printing industry; the shift in reseller delivery to managed printer services.

According to Harman, along with the software, PrintFleet services the development of print management and assessment software solutions, training, and business development and support.

Flanked by experts from Canada, PrintFleet’s director of marketing and strategic partnerships, Laura Hunt, and senior training specialist, West McDonald, have been addressing seminars on print services to some 100 registered resellers in Australia this week.

Phoenix Toners, OKI and Alliance Finance are sponsoring PrintFleet as a managed service software and alliance of finance dealers to offer a rapid assessment tool, a comprehensive dealer-hosted remote print monitoring application, and various professional development and training programs.

“We are the leader in the print management arena, helping dealer's control 100 percent of print and imaging within their client sites,” Harman said.

“You can’t just sell printers and pick up consumables or you’re in trouble,” he said. “However, with proactive dealers what is happening is they are able to offer managed print services in areas such as paper jam or toner replacement whereby the company can be alerted via software, which sends an email when the printer needs attention.

“Obviously you can’t just walk into OfficeWorks for toner whereas this software detects and alerts resellers proactively.

“Resellers in Europe are talking about managing whole fleets of printers which can be managed for a variety of issues such as service when cyan is running out and resellers can take over that role.

“At the moment around the world there is more revenue from hardware but there is a progressive shift to managed print services which is set to be a growth market in Australia.

“The seminars are aimed at understanding the change in the market and on developing a print management plan and equipping sales teams, while providing a program and the tools to take it to market and manage your business remotely,” he said.

PrintFleet says it manages over 2 billion pages monthly, worldwide, and offers data collection, data integrity and back end support within a family of print management software solutions ranging from simple rapid assessment to advanced, independently hosted print management.

Along with software, PrintFleet offers sales, marketing and technical support programs.
