Microsoft has admitted there’s a glitch in the gaming console, but won’t say what the actual problem is, and won’t be recalling all the 11.6 million buggy boxes.
You’ll know if you’ve got the fault if three red lights start flashing. No flashing lights no free fix. But what is this mysterious fault and why doesn’t it happen to everyone?
We decided to investigate. In the search for truth, justice, freedom and oh… any excuse… we played every game we could find continuously for five days. But no luck. No flashing lights. No dead console ready for a free fix. At a total loss we chucked the Xbox 360 in the corner and went back to the Playstation.
Meanwhile, a visiting 8-year old child started playing on the Xbox 360 and within half an hour the red lights were flashing like mad. Success! Well, failure really, but you get the idea.
So, how come? Quite obvious really. You need to actually be good at playing games on the Xbox 360, and that’s where you need an 8-year old. If you’re any good then it locks up when you manage to beat the high score stored internally in a secret location.
This is the score that was recorded by Bill Gates when the thing was being developed. Nobody beats Bill. Game over.
Opinion: Game Over
