The Australian-owned carrier has opened a new office in Adelaide to make room for its growing employee base, which has reached 300. The rise of the broadband market has played a significant role in the success and subsequent expansion of Internode.
Anticipating further growth in the next three years, the telco has obtained naming rights for the premises and established a retail area on the ground floor increasing accessibility for customers with reception, product sales and a walk-in customer service centre in one location.
According to Patrick Tapper, general manager, Internode Group, the new headquarters has undergone a $1 million revamp. “The CBD has been our home since 1994, so we decided to keep this the case for the benefit of our business, staff and customers,” he said.
Over 60 staff made the move to 150 Grenfell Street between the 24th and 25th of November, joining the 80 employees already established there. Further renovations are planned for the fourth and sixth levels of the building to complete the transition in the first quarter of 2008.
