iiNet re-invigorates drive for new partners
In May, the ISP told CRN https://www.techpartner.news/News/76696,iinet-hunts-for-resellers.aspx, that it was promoting a new partnership program and was actively seeking reseller partners to push its range of business products to the SMB sector.

The provider put a halt to its plans when it purchased fellow WA-based ISP, Westnet, for $81 million in cash.

Andy McIntyre, general manager sales and marketing at iiNet, told CRN, that it was officially relaunching its partner portal in November.

He said iiNet created a new portal to enable its partners to easily sign up customers. The portal would enable resellers to view condition payments as well as access product and marketing information.

“Now that the Westnet acquisition has been finalised and everything settled down we want to refocus our push for more resellers,” he said.

“We want to pull around 500 resellers into our program.

“Our partner portal will help resellers sign up as official partners. It will also help them look at their commissions and orders.”

He said the partner portal had been re-jigged to include a Recipient Creative Tax Invoice (RCTI) feature.

“Our resellers used to have to raise invoices, which basically meant they had to flag us when they sold a product to get an x amount of commission,” said McIntyre.

“Something we took from Westnet was the RCTI feature, which will allow us to flag ourselves when a reseller needs their commission paid.”

McIntyre claimed the provider had 300 resellers onboard, 100 of which are active resellers.

“[Active resellers] have grown significantly since we launched the portal,” he said.

“Resellers can expect margins from around 8-10 percent. Incurring revenue streams will be up to the reseller.”
