The Australian Department of Defence will extend its eFLOW3 document management system to other areas of the Department through a renewal deal worth over $5 million over a five years.

The Department has been using Top Image Systems's eFLOW3 for the past two years. It was initially delivered via CSC Australia with ASI Solutions providing support to CSS.

The current deal is part of a wider initiative to improve the overall administrative functions and processes within Defence.

The eFLOW system will be exteded to human resources, personal files and medical record and applications as well as additional AP functions.

Mike Seymour, executive director of business improvement project at the Department of Defence said the renewal was part of a wider initiative to grow business needs and increase document volumes.

"In the past few months, we have been going through an extensive process, aiming to improve overall administrative functions and processes,” he said.

“We are excited to expand its use within our department, upgrading additional operations and processes. We are confident that this solution will provide the Department of Defence with flexibility, scalability and efficiencies to meet our current as well future needs."
