US-based specialty software provider Advantive has acquired Commerce Vision, a digital commerce platform provider based in Brisbane.
The move is aimed at strengthening Advantive's international presence and expanding its B2B eCommerce capabilities in the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) market.
Commerce Vision has been providing B2B commerce solutions across automotive, food service, medical and dental, PPE and safety, and wholesale distribution industries since 2001.
Advantive belives the acquisition will enable it to expand into new industries including the dental and PPE and safety sectors.
Commerce Vision's product suite includes tools for order taking, customer management, merchandising, and route tracking for both online and offline merchandisers.
A key asset in the acquisition is Lucy, Commerce Vision's AI-driven purchase order automation product.
This technology is expected to help Advantive bring artificial intelligence-based automation tools to customers in the US market where manufacturers and distributors seek solutions to process inbound PDF purchase orders.
Commerce Vision's enterprise resource planning-integrated solution is currently used by over 85 brands.
Advantive currently provides wholesale distribution ERP software for various B2B commerce industries, including food and beverage, health & beauty, fast-moving consumer goods, and retail.
"Since 2001, Commerce Vision has grown from the ground up to suit the unique and complex challenges of businesses in B2B commerce," David Brice, chief executive of Commerce Vision said.
Commerce Vision bought New Zealand-based customer relationship management provider OpMetrix in 2022.
Financial terms for Advantive's acquisition of Commerce Vision were not disclosed.
