Snapchat signs with Sydney-based human resources software vendor Xref to streamline hiring process

Sydney-based human resources SaaS vendor Xref has struck a partnership with Snapchat parent company Snap as one several new client agreements.

Snap will be looking to Xref to streamline its recruitment process by reducing the recruitment team’s amount of time on the reference checking process. The social media company previously faced challenges conducting reference checks on graduates and technical talent, according to Xref.

Xref said its SaaS platform could collect 60 percent more data five times faster than traditional methods, and would allow Snap’s recruitment personnel to have more time to identify, attract and onboard top recruits with the required skills and expertise.

“This new agreement marks the most significant contract for Xref in the United States to date,” Xref said in a statement.

“Xref is encouraged to have its technology recognised and trusted by an organisation centred and reliant on the robustness and technicality of the solutions it deploys.”

In addition to Snapchat, Snap also owns Spectacles, Bitmoji and Zenly, and employs more than 1,900 staff worldwide.

Meanwhile Xref also landed contracts with Australian recruitment process outsourcing provider ManpowerGroup Solutions, UK-based distributor Exertis, UK-based housing, care and other managed services provider Sanctuary Group, and US-headquartered total workforce solutions provider PeopleScout.

“The size and prestige of the clients introduced globally in October is further validation for our global growth strategy,” Xref chief executive Lee-Martin Seymour said.

“We are seeing increasing demand in every market and we are delighted to see some of each region’s largest brands recognising the value of the platform.”

Also in October, Xref had secured trials in government, banking and recruitment organisations across Norway, shortly after establishing an office in the country.

“The majority of the clients added in October require their suppliers to demonstrate great strength and reliability in the service they offer, to ensure they do not compromise their own standards and service,” Xref chief technology officer Tim Griffiths said.

“We are always confident about the strength of the Xref platform but it is hugely encouraging to see it perform so well up against such a range of scrutiny in such a short space of time.”
