The NSW State Emergency Service (SES) has released a tender for the supply, installation, integration, configuration, maintenance, and ongoing support of network infrastructure for a scalable delivery across multiple NSW sites.
This initiative has arisen with the objective of creating a standardised, secure, and high-performing network across SES facilities that supports operational excellence, reduces support burdens, and enhances the effectiveness of emergency response coordination and day-to-day operations.
The capabilities expected from the successful respondent include provisioning of all network hardware components, on-site installation of network equipment across multiple Incident Control Centre (ICC) spaces and all network equipment setup to function with existing ICT infrastructure and licenses.
The scope of services also includes the programming and setup of control systems, user interfaces, device routing, and site-specific configurations; providing warranty support on hardware and licenses, remote diagnostics, on-site callouts, and adherence to agreed service levels for system uptime, response times, and replacement; and an ability to deliver repeatable network solutions to multiple sites across NSW, using a standardised design and pricing model that supports future expansion and consistent performance.
There are currently five sites on the roadmap that will require the scope of services outlined in the next 12 to 18 months.
Three sites will involve a renovation and uplift of an existing SES site, while two will be new greenfield constructions. There is potential for a sixth location currently in the pipeline, which is yet to be confirmed.
While the current exercise is focused on the SES' five level 3 ICCs, there will be a growing need in future to uplift its level 1 and 2 sites.
The tender closes on 3PM on 26 August 2025.
Earlier this year, the SES also tendered for a GPS satellite vessel tracking system and released an RFI around technological solutions to enhance its operational capabilities.
